How Operant Conditioning Relates to Us

Above is a Youtube video that explains how B.F. Skinner's Operant Conditioning Theory relates to us as humans. I definitely agree with what is said/written through out the video because situations shown in the video really do happen to us and it affects me in the way that Skinner has proposed.

This video also shows how Skinner used rats' as well in his experiments and the rat shown in the video shows how his behavior has been altered based on positive reinforcement.
Hope you enjoyed the video and my blog, thanks! (:

Operant Conditioning Video
I enjoyed watching this video because I felt that it helped me understand to a greater level what Skinner's experiment was actually like. I am a visual learner so watching videos and demonstrations is always helpful for me.
I also enjoyed watching Skinner explain what he was doing with the pigeons during the video.
Here is a picture that I found online of a pigeon that Skinner used in his operant conditioning experiment. As you can see on the right side of the box wall there is a colored tab that the pigeon would tap to recieve the reward.
I also liked how in the video it actually seemed like the pigeons were reading the words before the performed the task that was asked of them.

Here is a link to the website that I found the video on: http://www.simplypsychology.org/operant-conditioning.html

I hope that you enjoyed learning about B.F. Skinner and is Operant Conditioning experiments as much as I did (: Thank you!
